Modi rakes up Italian marines issue, slams Sonia

Biswanath Chariali (Assam), Mar 31 (PTI) Raking up the Italian marines case, Narendra Modi today mounted an attack on Congress President Sonia Gandhi and demanded that she come clean on who helped the two marines get “safe passage” from the country after killing two fishermen off Kerala coast.

“Sonia Gandhi should answer the people on who helped the two Italian marines get safe passage from India after killing two fishermen in Kerala,” he said at an election rally here.

Chandigarh, Mar 30 (PTI) Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal today attacked Narendra Modi claiming the BJP leader had written to the Centre recently requesting for a three-fold hike in gas prices to help industrialist Mukesh Ambani.

At his maiden roadshow here, Kejriwal claimed he was in possession of a letter purportedly written by Modi recently to the Centre, asking for such a hike.

Hate speech case: Masood arrested

Saharanpur (UP), Mar 29 (PTI) Congress Lok Sabha candidate Imran Masood was today arrested on charges of hate speech in which he threatened to “chop” Narendra Modi “into pieces”, remarks that led to an FIR being filed against him by police besides sparking an outrage.

Masood was arrested in the wee hours, police said.

Plane search shifted after ‘new credible lead’

Perth, Mar 28 (PTI) The search for the crashed Malaysian jet today shifted to a new area 1,100 km further north-east in the southern Indian Ocean following a “new credible lead” based on fresh radar data, Australian officials said.

The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) said the search would now focus on an area 1,100 km further north-east in the southern Indian Ocean off the western Australian coast.
